Pulling from the need to connect with the intimacy of life and all it’s complications, comes a new project by Rebecca Mason. r.mason blends soulful songwriting with explorative moods to cook up a project high in tension, desperation, vulnerability and the desire to fit every note, every texture, in its rightful place.
"What’s the Point?" follows Victoria-based band r.mason as they produce their debut EP over the course of two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film explores tangled questions of art and mental health, in conversation with an intertwining community for whom art – especially music – offers a lifeline during times of suffering.
Screening of the documentary will take place Sunday Sept 9 @ 4pm
This is event is a part of the three part series with World Peach artists and Weird Church called Spirituality, Music, and Justice.
Performances will take place Saturday evening, and artists will be engaged in conversation with the community Sunday afternoons at 4pm.
